Funding Request Checklist

This checklist is a detailed, step-by-step guide of the funding request application process to obtain budget for your RSO's event from the Student Funding Board (SFB).

Click the Open in Google Docs button to open the Funding Request Checklist in Google Docs. You can create a copy of the checklist and check off each step as you complete the funding request process.

Gather all of your information, including: space confirmation approval from 25Live, itemized spreadsheet of all costs associated with the event (who/what/where purchases are being made), proof of all costs (invoices, estimates, screenshots of items being purchased), your RSO's 6 digit code. Optional: If using Event Services or Sodexo Catering, please include estimates in your itemized spreadsheet.

Confirm your RSO is in good standing and fully registered in 25Live

Navigate to your RSO's page in Mason360

Click Money > Budgeting > Create Budget Request

Fill out the following: Budget Request Type, Event Title, Event Description, Priority, Event Location, Event Start Date, Event End Date, and Expected # of Attendees

Enter budget items

Select Application Type (single RSO versus multiple RSO)

Select RSO in dropdown

Upload itemized spreadsheet list of purchases

Select if charging a fee or collecting money for donations

Select if the RSO is obtaining funds from an additional source

Select the nature of the event

Describe in detail how the event will enhance the Mason community

Describe how the event will be promoted/marketed

Upload your space confirmation approval from 25Live

Acknowledge and sign the funding request application

Open in Google Docs
